Hello Monsoon!

Maxis are best avoided during monsoons. Well, yes if you have to wade through water. Lucky for me, I live in a part of Calcutta that doesn’t quite flood. Also, no season could keep me away from my maxis! There is really nothing as comfortably stylish than maxis. They’re good friends during PMS days too. Tell me this does not sound like an advertisement?

I wore the dress with a striped tee to make it a office-friendly. Layering is a saviour. And can you see my big bow rubber slippers peek out of the dress? Whoever said monsoon shoes were boring must come shopping with me next time! So, hello monsoons! *a late hello since it’s been here a while*

Kazo Summer/Spring

Kazo hosted a blogger’s event at their store in Forum a few days backs. Now, we, Calcutta bloggers, always jump with joy when there are events for us. That is what happens when most people are still stunned to hear there are style bloggers in the City of Joy. *hello! Yes, we do exist*
It rained right before I left the house and after all the pain I took to do my hair, it ended up looking like a bird’s nest. Well, almost. So, I, as usual, arrived fashionably late. Blame it on the traffic on a rainy day!
The fun part about the event was that there was a video shoot involved. We were asked to style a casual and a party look from Kazo’s Spring/Summer collection. And these were the two looks I came up with.
The bloggers doing their thaanngg
Ombre, blues, lace, neon, studs. It was all there!
And how can we forget the prints!

Pretty accessories to complete your look!
The best part about the event. Cupcakes!
Blogger bonding!
Me in splits during the video. Wait for it. It sure is going to be hilarious!
Go check out the Kazo store and buy this dress. It is the prettiest thing in the store! Also, a Kazo giveaway coming up in the next post. First giveaway on the blog *drums roll*

The Gold Bag

I know. I know. The bag. I am in love too so much so that I have flaunted it enough in office too during the day. Well, no one ever said gold is for evenings/nights, right? And there are no rules in fashion.
Also, this is what I wore to the Kazo event. Red lips. Chevron print dress. Hints of gold. Like?

Daddy’s Little Girl

Sometimes the small little treasures are hidden in the street shops. I bought this skirt from Sarojini for Rs 30! It isn’t just about the cheap prices. It is the excitement of finding a beautiful piece among a heap of clothes. It is nothing like walking into a prettily decorated store at the mall with clothes hanging on racks. You have to hunt for the good pieces and that is the fun part! Well of course, mall shopping has its charm too.
